What is Nudga?

Nudga is a simple reminder app that helps people follow through on important things. You can create reminders (called “nudges”) and set up escalation plans so the right people get notified if something doesn’t get done.

Why did I receive a Nudga email or text?

Someone you know added you as a trusted contact on Nudga. They set up a reminder for themselves and listed you as someone to notify if they don’t follow through. You’re receiving this because someone trusts you enough to loop you in.

You are not signing up for anything by receiving a message. If you don’t want to receive notifications, simply ignore the opt-in email — you won’t hear from us again.

How do I stop receiving reminders?

  • SMS: Reply STOP to any text message from Nudga
  • Email: Click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any Nudga email
  • Still getting messages? Contact us at support@nudga.io and we’ll take care of it

How do I change how I’m notified (SMS vs email vs push)?

Open the Nudga app and go to Settings > Notifications. From there you can manage your notification channels and preferences. If you’re a contact (not a Nudga user), the person who added you manages how you’re notified.

I keep getting messages but I never signed up — what do I do?

This means someone added you as a contact on their account. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any SMS or clicking unsubscribe in any email. If messages continue after opting out, please email support@nudga.io and we’ll resolve it immediately.


Billing & Subscriptions

How do subscriptions work?

Nudga subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your device. Your subscription is tied to your app store account, not directly to Nudga.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Since subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, you’ll need to cancel through them:

  • iPhone/iPad: Go to Settings > Your Name > Subscriptions > Nudga > Cancel
  • Android: Open Google Play > Menu > Subscriptions > Nudga > Cancel

Canceling stops future charges. You’ll still have access until the end of your current billing period.

My purchase went through but Nudga still shows features as locked — what do I do?

This can happen if there’s a sync delay. Try these steps:

  1. Close and reopen the Nudga app
  2. Go to Settings and tap Restore Purchases
  3. Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you used to purchase

If it still doesn’t work, email us at support@nudga.io with your purchase receipt and we’ll help sort it out.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google, since they process the payment:

Troubleshooting

I’m not receiving notifications — what should I check?

Push notifications:

  • Make sure notifications are enabled for Nudga in your device settings
  • iPhone: Settings > Nudga > Notifications > Allow Notifications
  • Android: Settings > Apps > Nudga > Notifications

Email:

  • Check your spam/junk folder for messages from nudga.io
  • Add noreply@nudga.io to your contacts to prevent filtering
  • Make sure your email address is verified in the app

SMS:

  • Verify your phone number is correct in the app
  • Make sure you haven’t previously replied STOP (if so, you’ll need to opt back in)
  • Some carriers may filter short-code messages — check your blocked messages

Notifications are delayed — is that normal?

SMS and email delivery depends on your carrier and email provider. Most notifications arrive within seconds, but delays of 1–2 minutes can happen during peak times. If notifications are consistently delayed by more than a few minutes, contact us.

The app is crashing or not loading

  1. Make sure you’re running the latest version of Nudga from the App Store or Google Play
  2. Try force-closing the app and reopening it
  3. Restart your device
  4. If the issue persists, email support@nudga.io with your device model and OS version
